Posted: Updated:

Three teenagers are injured after a car rollover in Grundy County.

This happened near the 193 mile marker on Highway 20 (3 miles west of Highway 14) around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities say 16-year-old Elizabeth Debates of Iowa Falls was driving with two passengers, 15-year-old Noelle Katschke and 17-year-old Heaven Holden, at the time of the accident.

Officials believe Debates was traveling westbound on Highway 20, when she dropped off the shoulder, lost control, and tried to correct the steering before rolling over into a ditch.

Debates, Katschke and Holden were taken to Grundy County Memorial Hospital and then Holden was airlifted to Iowa City. Their exact conditions are unknown.

Authorities estimate there's about $4,000 worth of damage to the car.

The accident remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.

Agencies assisting:  Iowa State Patrol, Wellsburg Fire, Holland Fire Grundy Center Ambulance and Lifeguard helicopter.
