DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque Police say four people were arrested Saturday after they allegedly got into a fight at a University of Dubuque football game.

Police say they were called to the University of Dubuque Saturday around 3:30 p.m., and that's where they found 19-year-old Albernard Turks, 18-year-old Latendre Paylor, who said they were jumped by a man named James.

Police then found 21-year-old James Stewart and 22-year-old Carlos Sierra at Chalmers Field, who told police they had gotten into a "mutual physical altercation" with Turks and Paylor.

A witness told police the fight was mutual.

All four were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, and Sierra was also charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), police said.

The University of Dubuque issued a statement Monday afternoon about the incident.

“The University of Dubuque does not condone violence in any form. In addition to civil charges that may be filed by the Dubuque Police Department, the University will conduct an internal investigation that will result in appropriate consequences for those involved,” said Peter Smith, vice president for Enrollment Management and University Relations at UD.
