Names released in deadly Central City crash

UPDATE: The deceased driver of the silver Toyota was identified as Ronald Joseph Heiderscheit, 46, of Center Point. The deceased passenger in the black Dodge Truck was identified as Craig Bayman McIntosh, 53, of San Tan Valley, Arizona.

Linn County officials say two people are dead after a car crash Saturday night in Central City.

Around 8:30 p.m. multiple agencies responded to a report of a collision at Sawyer Road and Jordans Grove Road.  Responders arrived to find that a black Dodge Truck and a silver Toyota Prius had crashed in the intersection.

The driver of the black Dodge, 68-year-old Craig Alan DeMoss of San Tan Valley Arizona, was taken to St. Lukes Hospital by Center Point Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Craig's passenger was killed in the collision. The driver of the Toyota Prius was also killed in the collision. The names of the victims are not being released at this time, pending notification of family members.

There was also a 10-year-old child in the Prius who was taken to Mercy Hospital by Center Point Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
