Assistance available to flood victims in Waverly today

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

The flood waters have receded, the river levels dropped. But cleaning up from the flooding of recent weeks can be a long-term project for some families.

Today, help will be available to people living in Waverly.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army joining together to create a Community Resource Center today and tomorrow.

Several other organizations will also be there to help with legal advice and navigating paperwork.

Iowa Legal Aid, the Northeast Iowa Foodbank, North Iowa Community Action and Northeast Iowa Community Action will all be at the Resource Center.

The Community Resource Center will be at the Waverly Civic Center. It's open from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. tomorrow.
