DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Despite presidential candidate Donald Trump's comments earlier this week during the first debate that Hillary Clinton lacked stamina to be president, Hillary Clinton seemed to address a supportive crowd in Des Moines with energy and enthusiasm, but it didn't come without a little controversy across the street.

Moments after Secretary Clinton took the stage, protesters started chanting, while Clinton discussed the importance of early voting and infrastructure to handle flooding, like many Iowans are dealing with right now.

Much of Clinton's Des Moines stop resembled Monday's presidential debate, discussing her personal life, plans as president, and even Donald Trump.

"As his own campaign manager said about him, Donald Trump has built a lot of business on the backs of the little guy," Clinton said.

The central theme of Secretary Clinton's Des Moines campaign stop was economy growth and job creation, saying she's working with Senator Bernie Sanders to come up with plans to help students through college and finding affordable child care.

Early voting in Iowa starts Thursday.
