Federal team coming to check out damage in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE (KWWL) -

Today, FEMA will be in Clarksville to look at the mess left behind by flooding.

About 150 homes were damaged by high water.

No federal disaster declaration has been made, but the Federal Emergency Management Agency is coming to town to do damage surveys.

The debris site will be open daily through Sunday at the city maintenance shop. That's near the water tower.

Lunch and dinner are being served at the Lutheran Church. All flood victims and volunteers can stop by for a meal.

Many students from other communities have been volunteering to help clean up in Clarksville. They came from Aplington-Parkersburg yesterday. Other schools, like Tripoli, have also stepped in.
