Manchester cleans up after flooding

Posted: Updated:
MANCHESTER (KWWL) -

Manchester officials say things are back to normal after suffering major flooding in the downtown area caused by the Maquoketa River.

On Friday, many businesses on West Main Street closed, shifting their attention to sandbagging.

Students from West Delaware High School helped with the efforts.

Over the weekend, crews began washing down the streets.

Iowa DOT assisted with the clean-up operation.

Delaware County Emergency Management says the flooding didn't cause much damage to the businesses.
