DOT sandbagging site in Waterloo to close at 7 p.m.
WATERLOO (KWWL) -
A Waterloo official says that the DOT sandbagging site on Ridgeway Avenue will be closing at 7 p.m. tonight, but the Public Works Building site on Glenwood Avenue will remain open.
The city also announced that several blocks of streets are currently closed because of standing water at this time, but the expected crest of the Cedar River has now come down to 23.6 inches in Waterloo. Officials are asking people to avoid downtown Waterloo and stay away from the flood water.
Leslie Hospitality owner Edwin Leslie says he doesn't have anything to hide, and to prove it he invited the public to view all of the documents, emails, agreements, and financial statements related to the deal at a public meeting this morning.
