Linn County declares state of emergency as flooding looms

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Linn County Board of Supervisors have announced that it has unanimously approved a resolution to declare a state of emergency amidst growing flood threats.

The declaration will allow the county to use emergency funds from a range of resources and apply to the state for assistance.

Current estimates have the Cedar River cresting in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday morning. Some residents have been asked to evacuate by tomorrow night.
