Gas prices fall 2 cents a gallon in Iowa in past week

Iowa gas prices are now showing an average of $2.20 per gallon, according to GasBuddy's latest report.

Gas prices in Iowa fell two cents per gallon in the past week, while they've increased nationally by 2.7 cents per gallon.

Prices Sunday were 15 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and two cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

GasBuddy finds prices in and around Iowa as follows:

Quad Cities- $2.13/g, up 1.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.12/g.
Des Moines- $2.29/g, down 12.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.41/g.
Omaha- $2.11/g, flat  from last week's $2.11/g.
