CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

A woman is arrested in a Coralville robbery last month.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says it happened at a U.S. Bank at 506 10th Avenue.

According to criminal complaints, Andrea Gathings entered the bank asking for money. Gathings allegedly presented a handwritten note to an employee stating that she is demanding $1,200 or the money in the cash drawer.

Criminal complaints say that if the employee did not follow orders, Gathings would be killed by her boyfriend.

Officers say the employee handed Gathings money and the woman exited the bank.

On August 6, numerous tips were called into Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers identifying Gathings as the suspect.

Gathings is charged with second degree robbery, a Class C felony. She is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail.
