POW/MIA Recognition Day set for Sept. 16 in Dubuque

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The American Legion Dubuque Post #6 is hosting it's annual Day of Honor for POW/MIA Friday, Sept. 16 outside the American Legion Post #6 building.

The ceremony is set for 6:00 p.m., and will feature a number of guest speakers, including Elaine Palen, the state coordinator for National League of POW/MIA Families.

There will also be a telling of the history of the POW/MIA flag, a roll-call of MIA's from the tri-states and more.

The ceremony will be moved inside if there is inclement weather.
