The Dubuque County Sheriff says a 13-month old baby boy is in ICU in Iowa City after he was found unresponsive in a bathtub in Cascade.
According to a press release, the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office and the Cascade Fire Department responded to a call in Cascade of a boy who was unresponsive.
They say CPR was initiated and the child was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque before being flown to Iowa City.
Investigators later learned the child had been left unattended in the bathtub by a parent, who returned to find the boy unconscious in the water, according to the press release.
The boy is currently in the Iowa City pediatric ICU.
The Sheriff's office is withholding the names.
