Linn County set to vote on raising minimum wage

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

Today, Linn County could move forward with plans to increase the minimum wage. Today will bring the second of three meetings about it. Last week, the first vote was approved. 

The county is considering raising the county's minimum wage to $10.25 an hour by January 2019. The plan also calls for smaller increases to $8.25 an hour by next January, and again to $9.25 by January of 2018.

A final vote will be held on September 12.
