WATERLOO (KWWL) -

There's a new program in Waterloo to help those struggling.

It's called RU Recovery Program, and it happens every Friday from 7 to 8:30 in the evening at Calvary Baptist Church.

The program just started in Waterloo, and people can join at any time for free.

People of all ages have shown up so far, but it's mainly for adults.

Something unique about this is it's for people dealing with any type of addiction, from alcohol to overeating.

It's a faith-based program. It also focuses on community support and finding people you can relate to or learn from.

They couple in charge of the program says this program can be found all over the world.

There's other chapter in Dubuque.

The couple in charge of the Waterloo program says this: If you've tried and failed on your own to recover, this program can really help you.

If you would like to join, you can show up at 7 any Friday night, or you can call director Ben Wilson at 319-481-3330.
