Man shot while allegedly trespassing in Linn County, then arrested

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

One person is shot while allegedly trespassing on another man's property.  The Linn County Sheriff's Office says 45-year-old David McVay shot 59-year-old Melvin Roberts at Palo Auto Salvage.  

McVay told deputies Roberts was trespassing and the two got into an argument, when he McVay shot him in the leg.  Roberts was treated at the hospital, and then taken to the Linn County Jail afterwards on an outstanding warrant.

No charges have been filed in the shooting at this time.
