Iowa gas prices averaging $2.27 a gallon

Gas prices in Iowa have gone up 2.3 cents per gallon in the past week to roughly $2.27 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's latest report

The national average increased 3.4 cents a gallon in the last week to $2.21 per gallon.

GasBuddy says Iowa prices Sunday were 29.9 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and 13.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average now stands 28 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

Markets in and around Iowa report as follows:

Quad Cities- $2.16/g, up 5.2 cents per gallon from last week's $2.11/g.
Des Moines- $2.48/g, up 6.1 cents per gallon from last week's $2.42/g.
Omaha- $2.20/g, down 0.4 cents per gallon from last week's $2.20/g.
