CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Donald Trump's running mate Governor Mike Pence made a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids this afternoon.

Pence started by having all veterans stand to be recognized.

He told the crowd he likes to describe himself as Christian, conservative and republican and he likes to do it in that order.

Governor Pence spent a large portion of his speech criticizing Hillary Clinton.

He told the crowd Clinton has been hiding and Donald Trump has been everywhere, claiming Clinton has not done a press conference in more than 200 days.

Pence promised Trump supporters the kind of president they will get if he is elected.

"Who will protect this nation, rebuild our military, confront radical Islamic terrorism, and rid the world of ISIS. If you want a president who will restore law and order and stand with men and women in our law enforcement community," he said.

Governor Pence made it clear he believes there is only one choice for the type of president he describes and that Donald Trump is the one for the job.
