POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA - An Auburndale man was lured to his death through an online dating site.

Police found 27-year-old Adam Hilarie shot to death in his apartment on Friday.

According to police, Hilarie met 18-year-old Haliey Bustos on the dating site 'Plenty of Fish' and took her on a date Thursday evening.

Detectives say Bustos returned to Hilarie's apartment a few hours later with these men to rob him.

His family hopes others can learn from his death.

"I would never want no one to be in the shoes I am in right now, or my family or any of our closed friends, anyone," said Angel Cruz, victims brother. "I don't want no one to feel the way we're feeling right now."

Police believe another man named Andre Warner is the one who actually shot and killed Hilarie.

The victim had a five year old daughter.
