WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Eddie Laar Wade, 37, of Waterloo is arrested and charged with robbery, going armed with intent, willful injury, and theft.

According to Buchanan County Sheriff's Deputies, they were called to the southbound lanes of Interstate 380 near mile marker 49 around 8:30 a.m. Friday for a report of a male who had been beaten and needed medical attention.

It was also reported several items were taken from him and his vehicle.

Witnesses say they saw the driver of a vehicle leaving the scene by going through the median and traveling north on I-380.

Moments later, Iowa State Troopers were able to stop the vehicle in Black Hawk County.

That's when troopers arrested 37-year-old Wade.

Wade was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Improper Use of Median.
