(AP) -

Louisiana officials are setting up a temporary bus system to help people in and around Baton Rouge whose vehicles were damaged by flooding.

Mike Steele, spokesman for the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, says Sunday that two disaster recovery centers also have opened in areas that flooded in south Louisiana.

He says more will open as buildings are found with enough parking and proper access for people with disabilities.

Steele says more than $30 million in federal housing assistance has been approved for residents in the state.

About 3,200 people remain in shelters.
