Dubuque-based, family-owned company Theisen's announced Thursday morning they've hired the retailer's first outside president since the company was founded in 1927.
Brannon Dixon will take over as the company's leader, and "will direct all functions to attain strategic, financial and operational goals for the overall performance" of the company, according to a press release.
Dixon comes to Theisen's from Party City, where he was the vice president of store operations.
“Over the past two years, we’ve undergone an exhaustive self-evaluation to assess how best to take the Theisen’s Home-Farm-Auto organization to the next level. I’m confident that Brannon’s experience and passion make him the right fit for Theisen’s business and for our team. He’s an experienced, decisive leader and will play a critical role in guiding Theisen’s to ensure that we continue to meet the ever-evolving wants and needs of our current and future customers,” said Jim Theisen in a press release.
Jim, Chris and Tony Theisen will continue to play a big role in the family owned company, serving on a newly formed Board of Directors.
Theisen's has 22 stores located in Iowa and Wisconsin, and will open a 23rd in Davenport this fall.
