Update: Armed suspects lead law enforcement on chase

Update: Waterloo Police arrest three involved in a chase Tuesday afternoon in Waterloo.

Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies flew down 4th Street in Downtown Waterloo assisting police.

The chase of armed suspects ended near 4th Street and Newell where three suspects were arrested, one adult male and two male teens.

More than a dozen officers and deputies, including a K-9 deputy searched the area.

Investigators found a gun hidden in the bushes of a home in the 100 block of Webster. 

The home about a block from the pedestrian bridge over Highway 63, where the suspects crashed their car into the railing before running away.

The chase started after law enforcement witnessed one of the suspects waving the gun out the window of the car.

The driver did not stop when officers attempted to pull him over, leading officers on a chase through the east side.

The driver  was identified as 18-year-old Shauntez Porter and was charged with eluding police, interference, and driving without a license.
