There are different reports out this week that Iowa's Governor and the Board of Regents President have agreed to be advisers for Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Bloomberg reports Gov. Terry Branstad and Bruce Rastetter will join former Nebraska Gov. David Heineman as advisers on Trump's agribusiness and energy policy, citing two people familiar with the campaign.

The website reports Branstad's son, Eric, has close ties to Rastetter through their advocacy for Iowa's renewable fuels industry. Eric is Trump's Iowa campaign director.

According to NJ.com, Rastetter is a leading candidate for agriculture secretary if Trump becomes president.
