Gas prices in Iowa rise to $2.15 a gallon

Gas prices rose 3.4 cents per gallon in Iowa in the past week, to an average of $2.15 a gallon Sunday.

GasBuddy finds the national average has fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week to roughly $2.12 a gallon.

Prices Sunday were 46.3 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and 9.9 cents a gallon lower than a month ago, according to GasBuddy's latest report.

GasBuddy finds gas prices in and around Iowa as follows:


Quad Cities- $1.98/g, down 1.2 cents per gallon from last week's $1.99/g.
Des Moines- $2.29/g, up 8.7 cents per gallon from last week's $2.20/g.
Omaha- $2.14/g, up 3.0 cents per gallon from last week's $2.11/g.
