Just after 5 PM Sunday evening, multiple sightings of funnel clouds across eastern Iowa were reported to KWWL and the National Weather Service.
These were forming with isolated light rain showers that were tracking through parts of the area. These types of funnel clouds are very short lived, and rarely touch the ground. Conditions were not favorable for severe weather, and the threat for funnel clouds diminished after sunset. View more photos on Schnack's Blog by clicking here.
If you ever see a funnel cloud, report it to emergency management or KWWL, and we will pass that information along to the National Weather Service.
