Waterloo Police were called to the 300 block of Cutler, after a man found a 40 mm artillery round in the wall of his garage.

The man says he was working on his garage when he found the shell.

The bomb squad is currently on the way to review the shell and safely remove it from the garage.

There doesn't appear to be any immediate danger to the garage or neighbors in the area.

According to authorities, it's standard protocol to send the bomb squad to situations like this as a precaution.
