AGB Search, a Washington, D.C. based head hunter company, has been hired to assist in the search for a new President at the University of Northern Iowa.

The Iowa State Board of Regents selected AGB and will pay the company $85,000, plus expenses.

Regents President Pro Tem, Katie Mulholland, said, “We look forward to working with AGB on this critically important hire,”  Mulholland is leading the Board’s efforts in the UNI presidential search, and added,  “AGB has a proven track record of assisting with successful searches in a timely and efficient manner.”

The Regents will oversee AGB's efforts, which will be to assist in defining the goals of the search and develop the position specification and search time line; identify potential candidates, and receive nominations and applications for the position; communicate with prospective candidates and facilitate candidate interviews; and conduct background checks on applicants.

The new UNI President will succeed Dr. William Ruud, whom left Northern Iowa this summer to become the President of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
