Iowa gas prices fall roughly 3 cents in past week

Another dip at the pump, as gas prices in Iowa have fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $2.12 a gallon.

GasBuddy reports the national average has fallen two cents per gallon in the last week to $2.13 a gallon.

Prices Sunday were 58.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and 16.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average decreased 14.6 cents per gallon during the last month.

GasBuddy finds prices in and around Iowa as follows:


Quad Cities- $2.00/g, down 3.5 cents per gallon from last week's $2.04/g.
Des Moines- $2.20/g, down 5.4 cents per gallon from last week's $2.25/g.
Omaha- $2.11/g, down 1.4 cents per gallon from last week's $2.12/g.
