The second ever horned dinosaur fossil in the eastern United States has been discovered.

It's a tooth, about the size of a thumb.

The 67 million-year-old fossil was found in the vicinity of New Albany.

Dinosaur age fossils found east of the Mississippi River are "Marine" in nature.

"This dinosaur was probably scavenging, browsing as it were in vegetation along the coast line," said George Phillips, Paleontology Curator.

Millions of years ago most of Mississippi was underwater.
