UPDATE: Former UNI professor arrested on sex charges in Arkansas

UPDATE:  Bella Vista, Arkansas Police say they received a report of someone overhearing two children, ages six and eight, saying they were touched by a neighbor.  The children were interviewed, along with two other siblings.  

Three of them say they were touched by Longnecker.  He was arrested shortly after and is being held on a $150,000 bond.  He's charged with two counts of Felony Rape and four counts of Second Degree Sexual Abuse.

A former professor at the University of Northern Iowa is facing felony rape charges in Arkansas.  77-year-old John Longnecker, who now lives in Arkansas, is charged with Second Degree Sexual Assault.

According to the UNI website, Longnecker is listed as a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics, meaning he is now retired from the university.  He was taken into custody in Benton County, Arkansas on July 22nd.
