Dubuque officials looking for dog involved in biting incident

City of Dubuque health officials are asking the public for help in locating a dog responsible for biting a person.

It happened Monday night at about 7 p.m. near Kaufmann Avenue and Waller Street.

The dog is described as a large breed weighing more than 50 pounds. It's red/tan in color, short-nosed, half pointed ears, and has a docked tail.

It was being walked by a woman who appeared to be in her 50s, with short, gray hair and glasses.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Dubuque's health services department at 563-589-4185.
