Iowa State's SBDC Iowa announced Friday that Bryan Ziegler, Regional Director, Indian Hills SBDC, Ottumwa, has achieved the rank of Certified Export Counselor.

Ziegler, who has been with the America’s SBDC Iowa network since 1984 and who is already a Certified Business Advisor®, recently completed the exam required by the U.S. Small Business Administration, as set forth in the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.

In his 32 years of assisting Iowa businesses in Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Mahaska, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello and Wayne counties, Ziegler has worked with a diverse rural and suburban population, delivering professional, consistent business advice to both existing businesses and would-be entrepreneurs.

Lisa Shimkat, State Director of America’s SBDC Iowa, says, “We are very proud of Bryan’s achievement and applaud him for this new certification. Bryan’s knowledge and experience is an important asset of our statewide network.”
