Security Drill for Rio Olympics

"Brazil is working with intelligence agencies from other countries to prevent an attack during the Olympics in Rio de Janiero," said  the Minister of Defense Thursday as he watched a navy security drill in Guanabara Bay.

Ten Brazilians who pledged allegiance to ISIS, were arrested Thursday, authorities announced, describing them as "amateurs" who discussed on social media the possibility of staging attacks during next month's Olympics.

According to Brazil's Justice Minister, the ten are being held on two terrorism-related charges and two more people are being sought.

Authorities said any attack plan would have had little chance of coming to fruition, citing the group's lack of resources and skills.

Security has emerged as the top concern during the Olympics, including violence possible spilling over from Rio's hundreds of poorer neighborhoods.

Authorities have said 85-thousand police officers and soldiers will be patrolling during the games.
