Brown's perfect game sends Don Bosco to state baseball tournament

MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) -

Trever Brown faced 21 batters, and Brown sat down 21 batters. The Don Bosco sophomore fired a perfect game sending the Dons to the class 1A state tournament with a 3-0 win over BGM.

Brandon Bagby opened the scoring for the Dons with an RBI ground out in the second inning. Dylan Rieher added another, driving in a run with a fourth inning base hit. Bagby added the third run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 6th.

Brown, meanwhile, tossed the first perfect game of his career sending the Dons to the state tournament for the seventh time in school history. Their last appearance came in 2014.
