UPDATE:  This morning, police records show 8 new bullet holes were found in a Waterloo home after shots were fired overnight.

It happened at 520 Elm Street.

No arrests were made and police say there are no suspects.

This comes after police raided the home on Monday and spent time there on Tuesday.  They had cleared the scene before shots were fired overnight.

Police say they raided the home as a "follow-up investigation," but wouldn't elaborate other than to say it was "timely" when asked about a homicide on Logan Avenue Sunday night.

Tuesday night, Waterloo police once again responded to 520 Elm Street. They went there after a report of shots fired. The house was hit by bullets. No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.

Police spent Monday night and part of Tuesday morning at the home. Police have not released many details about why they were there, but we do know they raided the home as a follow-up to an investigation. Police cleared the scene Tuesday and were not still at the home when shots were fired Tuesday night.

Police would not say if the follow-up investigation is connected to the weekend murder outside a home on Logan Avenue, other than to call the raid on Elm Street, "timely."

520 Elm is considered a "chronic nuisance." That means the homeowner must pay when police respond to the home. Police were not able to confirm overnight whether the shots fired call will be costing the homeowner money.
