Denver scored a pair of runs in the top of the 8th inning to upset #10 Dike-New Hartford and advance to a class 2A substate final.

After trailing 3-1, D-NH forced the game in to extra innings, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the 5th. Clayton Mapel scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly to center field by Connor Neuroth.

The game remained knotted at 3 apiece until Denver's Brock Farley blasted an RBI double to deep center. Farley later scored on a double in the right center field gap off of the bat of Bo McMahon.

Josh Schaefer picked up the win for the Cyclones, holding the Wolverines scoreless in the final three innings.

Denver advances to face 3rd ranked New Hampton in Tuesday's substate final in Waverly.
