HUDSON (KWWL) -

Don Bosco got the offense rolling as the state's 2nd ranked class 1A team dropped North Tama 10-0 to advance to a substate final.

North Tama held the Dons scoreless through the first two innings, but Cade Schares got the ball rolling with an opposite field solo shot in the third. That opened the floodgates as Don Bosco scored 10 unanswered to end the game early in the 6th inning.

Baylor Bedard picked up the win with the shut-out performance.

The Dons advance to face BGM in Tuesday's substate final in Marshalltown.
