Body shaming model: Fired, banned & under investigation

Posted: Updated:

Dani Mathers, a Playboy model, lost her radio hosting job and has been banned for life from LA Fitness after she secretly took a picture of a naked woman inside a gym locker room.  She later posted that picture to Snapchat with the caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either."

In her apology posted to Snapchat, Mathers said she published the picture "accidentally," saying it was meant for just one friend.

“I have chosen to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know that body shaming is wrong and that’s not what I’m about, that’s not the type of person that I am,” she said in a series of Snapchat videos posted Thursday. “That photo was taken to be a personal conversation with a girlfriend, and because I am new to Snapchat, I didn’t realize that I had posted it and that was a huge mistake.”

Mathers lost her long-running radio gig at KLOS-FM on the “Heidi and Frank” show. Management said she’s been suspended indefinitely.

LA Fitness has also banned the model for life and notified the Los Angeles Police Department of her behavior.
