The Iowa State football program has landed a couple of underclassmen on the Big 12 preseason squad.

Cyclone junior receiver Allen Lazard and ISU tailback Mike Warren are both named to the first team by the media which covers the league.

Lazard led Iowa State in with 56 receptions, 808 yards receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2015.

Lazard posted two 100-yard receiving games a year ago and has caught a pass in all 23 career games he has played

Lazard is also on the Biletnikoff award watch list.

Warren is coming off the greatest season by a freshman running back in school history.

Last season Warren rushed for 1,339 yards---- the third-best season effort by a freshman in big 12 history.

Warren produced six 100-yard rushing games in 2015, including a 245-yard effort vs. Texas Tech.

Warren was recently named to the Maxwell award watch list, an award given annually to the nation's best player.
