Don Bosco shuts out Dunkerton 14-0 in district quarterfinal

HUDSON (KWWL) -

Don Bosco rolled past Dunkerton 14-0 to advance in class 1A district play.

After a scoreless first inning, the Dons exploded for 6 runs in the second inning. Tanner Weber's RBI base hit to center would give them an early 2-0 edge, while Brandon Bagby followed with a deep shot to center scoring another.

The offensive outburst was far more than freshman pitcher Kendall Becker needed in finishing off the shut-out.

The second ranked Dons will face Nashua-Plainfield in a district semifinal on Thursday.
