WATERLOO (KWWL) -

It has been twenty-one years since the Bosnian massacre.

Today the Bosnian community of the Cedar Valley remembers those who have been lost.

Over eight thousand people died that day and still some family members are missing.

"July eleventh 1995 was the genocide in Bosnia in a city called Srebrenica, it's the largest massacre since World War two and as you can imagine this will hold the biggest scar in Bosnian history in that region for a very very long time," said Anesa Kajtazovic, event organizer.

On Monday one hundred and twenty-seven victims will be buried in Bosnia.
