Posted: Updated:

The overnight storm has left some damage this morning.

Crews are out cleaning up trees and tree branches in Waterloo, Dubuque and Cedar Rapids.

A tree fell early this morning on Skyview Road in Waterloo. The tree fell on a cable line.

Another tree's branches fell on Glencoe Avenue in Waterloo, and blocked the street.

A lot of people were also dealing with power outages this morning.

As of 10 a.m., there are more than 200 without power in Linn County, and about 200 without power in Jones County, according to Alliant Energy.

MidAmerican Energy says there are about 1,100 people without power in the Iowa City area. The company says the outages were caused by strong winds and lightning.  MidAmerican expects power to be restored for most customers by early afternoon.
