Tyler Cook, the 6'8 incoming freshman from St. Louis put on quite a show in his first Prime Time League Game, and Hawkeye fans can't help but be excited by the athleticism Cook showed when he dazzled the crowd for 27 points and 8 rebounds including a number of dunks and alley-oops.

With only one returning starter next season for the Hawkeyes, Peter Jok, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab some playing time and Cook says the Prime Time League is helping him adjust to the speed at the college level.

"It's not like pick up basketball where you can come out and not play defense and you know, shoot all the time."  Cook Said, "  "It was kind of a wake up call when I first got in they started moving real fast and I was like, you know this isn't a joke so you have to play hard, which is good for us."

Iowa's reigning Mr. Basketball Jordan Bohannon also notched 27 points doing most of his damage beyond the arc, going 7-11 on three pointers.  Bohannon said the upperclassmen are making the transition to college ball a smooth one.

"All the upperclassmen are really helping us freshman that are coming in and they are all really supportive, especially Peter (Jok) he's giving us a lot of advice."  Bohannon said, "This is going to be a special year for us so we just need to take it one day at a time and believe in each other."

The Prime Time League plays Thursdays and Sundays until the championship game on July 28th, in North Liberty.
