The KWWL Storm Track 7 Weather Team was tracking a line of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.  Some of those storms had gusty wind and small hail, along with heavy downpours and lightning as they tracked through parts of eastern Iowa.

One of the hardest hit areas was Denver in Bremer County.  The storm was at its strongest as it was over the town, producing quite a bit of pea to dime size hail and damaging wind gusts.  KWWL received several reports of trees being blown over, and hail covering the ground. These storms developed ahead of a cold front that is moving through the area.  Rain chances will continue through about 6 PM, and we will see decreasing clouds overnight.
