DeWitt is accused of trying to hire a hit-man who was actually an undercover agent. They met at a commercial parking lot in Iowa City, where DeWitt allegedly provided the undercover agent with $1,000 dollars as down payment for the murders. DeWitt was then arrested.

North Liberty police wont reveal much at this time about the motive behind his alleged plan to kill, but they say it was because of a business-deal gone wrong.
