Iowa gas prices fall roughly 2 cents last week

Iowa gas prices are now averaging about $2.30 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's latest report.

Gas prices in Iowa fell 2.2 cents per gallon in the past week. The national average fell 2.4 cents last week to an average of $2.31 a gallon.

Prices Sunday were 43.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and are unchanged compared to a month ago. According to GasBuddy, the national average decreased 1.3 cents per gallon during the last month.

GasBuddy finds prices in and around Iowa as follows:


 Quad Cities- $2.21/g, flat  from last week's $2.21/g.
 Des Moines- $2.45/g, down 2.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.48/g.
 Omaha- $2.26/g, up 0.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.25/g.
