A six-year-old boy walks away with a few scrapes and bruises after he was hit by a pick-up truck. It all happened yesterday afternoon in Vinton. KWWL caught up with a witness who saw the entire thing.

"His body stopped, the rest of him went underneath, the truck went up and over him and kicked him out the back," said Marvin Mosher, witness.

Kicked him out the back of the truck and onto the road he was attempting to cross Highway 218.

The witness says he was walking down this sidewalk on his normal way home from work when he saw it all happen.

"His face and his upper half hit the the tire, the metal, boom, then his legs and the rest of him stopped and went like that. The duely grabbed him and kicked him up and the whole truck went doom, I mean you saw it go over the little guy," said Mosher.

After watching this happen Marvin ran to the pick-up truck.

"I seen the guys response, because you heard it hit, and I seen the guy kind of so I stepped in the middle of the highway flagged him down stopped him, walked over to his passengers side, he rolls his window down, I told him what happened and he kind of went white," said Mosher.

That's when Marvin ran to the boy, who was down on the road, crying in pain.

"He started saying 'I'm so sorry mister, it was my fault, I didn't mean to, but I'm okay, I'm okay', what I just witnessed I knew he wasn't okay," Mosher added.

The police confirm the boy is okay.

At last check police are looking for the driver of that truck. They describe him as 50 to 60 years old and his silver truck was towing a white trailer.
