Former Black Hawk JT Brown signs new 2-year deal with Lightning

Former Waterloo Black Hawk J.T. Brown signed a new 2-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The new deal comes on the heels of a season that saw Brown tally career highs with 8 goals and 22 points.

The new deal is worth 2.5 million dollars over the 2-year duration. Brown would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The former Black Hawk forward has played in 198 career NHL games over four years with Tampa Bay. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
