"Jayden was a lively four-year-old, he loved to sing and dance, just do all the things four year old boys do. Curious, his favorite song was "Uptown Funk", I guess he knew all the lyrics, he could do all the lyrics to it. He was a singer and dancer and just a happy go lucky boy, a best friend to his little brother Ja’vion," said David Choate Sr., Jayden's grandfather.

David Choate Sr., Jayden's grandfather remembers his grandson, speaking for the grieving family.

"I mean we are all still coming to grips with his passing," said Choate.

Jayden's mother, Nikita Choate, holding her four-month-old daughter talks about her son. Saying he loved to draw. Showing a piece of artwork Jayden did in preschool, which he just graduated. She also says her family is grateful for all the thoughts and prayers.

"It's just amazing that people opened their hearts like this," said Choate.

While showing off photos the family shared memories, his little brother pointing out Jayden. His mother pointing out her favorite photo of him.

The family agrees they are grateful for everyone's support.

"People have just come out with their hearts and their wallets and everything to help us through this," said Choate.

Jayden's mother says that she has so many questions about that day. She wants to stress the children were supervised at the time of the accident and they don't hold anything against the gun owner.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up by Jayden's aunt to help cover his funeral expenses. This is the link to their page:
